Due to circumstances beyond my control I have decided not to continue as artist in residence at Spurn Point.
My project to capture our fishing industry has had to move further up the coast, and it now feels to tenuous to link it to the work of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. However with the help and support of some really kind people working in the Yorkshire fishing community, my project Of The Sea continues. Of The Sea will comprise of a body of vibrant mixed media paintings inspired by my experience of being at sea. Together with an audio visual record of local fishermen at work, our marine life, and disappearing fishing techniques. Both my paintings and installation will be exhibited in Gallery Forty-Nine in Bridlington Old Town from the 9th of November. Here is a little taste of things to come...
